A Wedding and a Funeral

"Oh God " she cried. There was pain, anger, anxiety and desperateness in her voice. All the magazines and tabloids carried the photo and it seemed to be the cover story of the year. She had never imagined this to happen in her wildest dreams and now it had come true.

It was hard to stop her now and she let the floodgates of her eyes open and she cried shamelessly like she did when she was 8 years old and her dog had died. All the money she had amassed over the years made no sense to her and the chequebook in front of her seemed like a pile of color pages. The wedding was due at 11 Am and it was to be aired by some private channel. Damn the paparazzi. They want all the scoops, gossips about celebrities. Little do they think that we are also human beings with emotions, dignity and respect. But then once a person is in limelight, every activity of his comes to public scrutiny. Damn the public.

How happy she had been when she walked the aisle with him 5 years before. Every woman envied her as she was getting married to the hottest hunk in the industry and she could see that in all the women’s eyes everywhere she went with him. They were billed the perfect couple in the movie industry. All the bookies who had bet placed that their marriage wouldn’t last past a year, lost and lost heavily too. But fate took a cruel turn. He was offered a lead role with the supposedly the sexiest women alive. When he asked her about the script she jokingly declared "Wow..Sexiest women and the Sexiest man starring. Sounds cool".

Every marriage runs on faith that one partner has on the other. But sometimes a man's libido wins over his heart and seems so did his. Even when each magazine carried their pictures together she took it as another example of paparazzi stunt. And then he came and confessed. Her world had come crashing over. They parted and it was like a huge wave which blew her sand castle. She remembered the intimate moments she spent with him in their huge villa he had bought her as a birthday present. Little did she imagine that the birthplace of her love would also turn to her cemetery.

"Warning: May cause drowsiness". She laughed and then cried after reading the warning label on the Sleeping tablets bottle. She remembered Shakespeare "Sleep is temporary death and Death is permanent Sleep". They were now exchanging vows and she felt a pang of jealousy in her heart. Slowly the image started fading and she was going to sleep....forever.

I thought I was quite used to your way of story telling... Boy!! You did get me by surprise..

But then.. it pains, to see a character dying.. I would have liked it if she had gone, taught that Guy a lesson and then carried on with her Life.. Anyways, characters are life and Author is God... who am I to question it?

i thought so that this was the jennifer-bradd-jolie story , but suicide is not the option. She lives with the fact and lives in style too.. When Brad can enjoy y not she. But the feeling have come out nicely, i could feel the sadness. Good one!
